Clan Kidz 2007

We need to work as a Team once we get to the CLAN Kidz site and it is helpful to know what responsibilities that each of us has. We’ve prepared some outline descriptions of the roles we need people to take up at CLAN Kidz, so once you know your role, read over the info below and familiarise yourself with how you will fit into the team.

Core Team: By being directly responsible to the CLAN Leadership team, the task of the core team is to lead and co-ordinate the work of the CLAN Kidz team to ensure that a challenging and exciting ministry programme P1-P7 is prepared and carried out, and to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the children and team during the conference. 

This includes working before the conference to:

• Maintain and nurture their relationship with God to ensure that they come spiritually ready to lead the work of the CLAN Kidz Team.
• Make every effort to attend the regular Core Team planning meetings and Training Days.
• Recruit suitable team members, particularly those with key skills and Tent Leaders.
• Communicate in adequate time with Tent Leaders and Team Members relevant information about training days and programme.
• Liaise between Team Members and The CLAN Gathering office.
• Set and control the CLAN Kidz budget, and to provide Tent groups with the resources necessary to run their programmes.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and provide photo and information for CLAN Kidz team website.
• Set the theme of the CLAN Kidz programme, and to provide direction to the Tent Leaders.

At the conference this will include

• Day to Day oversight of the CLAN Kidz programme, including team briefing meetings before the morning and evening sessions.
• Organising and running the morning and evening ‘Heart’ Sessions.
• Organising a morning workshop programme.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the programme by liaising with the Site Leadership, Stewards and Maintenance teams.
• Ensuring the welfare of the Children who attend the programme, by co-ordinating and implementing the Child Protection and Health and Safety policies of CLAN Gathering.
• Ensuring the wellbeing of the CLAN Kidz Team by providing Prayer and Pastoral support.
• Taking responsibility for matters of discipline and mediation between Children, Parents and Team Members.
• Developing team members in their gifting and experience.

Tent Leaders (P1-P7): Working under the guidance of the CLAN Kidz Core Team, Tent Leaders will work to deliver an age specific ministry programme that supports the ‘Heart Venue’ teaching and worship programme. 

This includes working before the conference to:

• Maintain and nurture their relationship with God to ensure that they come  spiritually ready to participate in the work of the CLAN Kidz Team.
• Make every effort to attend the regular Team planning meetings and Training Days.
• Co-ordinate the work of those team members assigned to work in their tent, in matters of planning and preparation before the conference.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and provide photo and information for CLAN Kidz team website.
• Work within the theme of the CLAN Kidz programme, and to provide direction to the assigned Team members.

At the conference this will include

• Day to Day oversight of their Tent’s programme.
• Attending and being punctual for the morning and evening Team Meetings
• Organising and running the morning and evening Tent Sessions.
• Organising the registration and release of children in their age group.
• Participating with their Team Members and children in the morning workshop programme.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the programme by liaising over issues and difficulties with the Core Team
• Ensuring the welfare of the Children who attend the programme, implementing the Child Protection and Health and Safety policies of CLAN Gathering within their Tents, and to maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of their tents and any equipment provided.
• Taking responsibility for matters of discipline and mediation between Children, Team Members, referring more difficult incidents to the Core Team.
• Sharing the work around all their team members, ensuring that everyone is playing an active role in the ministry of their groups.

Team Members (P1-P7): Working under the leadership of a Tent Leader, Team Members will assist in the running of the CLAN Kidz programme by serving the children, helping to ensure their welfare, and by helping to lead in all aspects of the Heart, Tent and Workshop programme.  

This includes working before the conference to:

• Maintain and nurture their relationship with God to ensure that they come spiritually ready to participate in the work of the CLAN Kidz Team.
• Make every effort to attend the regular Team planning meetings and Training Days.
• Carry out preparation tasks given to them by their tent leader.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and provide photo and information for CLAN Kidz team website.

At the conference this will include

• Attending and being punctual for the morning and evening Team Meetings.
• Helping to prepare the venue for the ministry activities, including cleaning, tidying and packing away of equipment.
• Participating whole heartedly in running the morning and evening Tent Sessions.
• Participating in the registration and release of children in their age group.
• Participating with their fellow Team Members and children in the morning workshop programme.
• Helping to ensure the welfare of the Children who attend the programme by implementing the Child Protection and Health and Safety policies of CLAN Gathering within their Tents.
• Participating in matters of discipline and mediation between Children, referring more difficult incidents to their Tent Leader.

‘Heart’ Visuals and Technical Team: Working under the guidance of the CLAN Kidz Core Team, The Visuals will work to deliver a mix of visuals and video work which will enhance the ‘Heart Venue’ teaching and worship programme. 

This includes working before the conference to:

• Maintain and nurture their relationship with God to ensure that they come spiritually ready to lead the work of the CLAN Kidz Team.
• Make every effort to attend the regular Team planning meetings and Training Days.
• Co-ordinate the work of those team members assigned to work in team, in matters of planning and preparation before the conference.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and provide photo and information for CLAN Kidz team website.
• Work within the theme of the CLAN Kidz programme, and to provide direction to the assigned Team members.
• Provide the CLAN office with a list of equipment required, and of special items being brought by the team.

At the conference this will include

• Day to Day oversight of their Team’s programme.
• Attending and being punctual for the Morning and Evening Team Meetings
• Ensuring the smooth running of the programme by liaising over issues and difficulties with the Core Team and PA technician.
• Ensuring the welfare of the Children who attend the programme, implementing the Child Protection and Health and Safety policies of CLAN Gathering within their Technical area, and to maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of that area.
• Sharing the work around all their team members, ensuring that everyone is playing an active role in the ministry of their groups.
